Enrolling Directly Into A Health Insurance Plan – In Colorado 2024 -2025 PLEASE READ BEFORE DIRECTLY ENROLLING IN PLAN ON RESOURCE PAGE

NOVEMBER 1ST 2024 – JANUARY 15TH 2025

Great news Coloradans, if your looking for a health plan, you don’t need or want a tax credit (financial assistance in reducing your premium cost) and you have a Qualifying Life Event (QLE – losing insurance through no fault of your own such as losing employer insurance, Medicaid, Cobra, moving, getting married, divorced, having a baby etc. You are limited in the timeframe to purchase a plan, as well as having to provide proof of whatever QLE you’ve experienced), you may enroll into a health care plan directly with the insurance carriers in Colorado.

All you have to do is contact a broker at BlueLyte Health, and we can assist and enroll you in the right plan that works for you. Also, if you know what plan you already want, you can go to the Resource page on the bluelytehealth.com website, under The Application Links and Forms heading to choose which carrier you would like to enroll under. When choosing the carrier and filling out the application, you will have to most likely make your first binder/premium payment at the time of applying.

****EXCEPTION: DO NOT CLICK ON THE APPLICATION LINK FOR OSCAR HEALTH. OSCAR HEALTH LEFT COLORADO IN 2023, BUT IS STILL IN OTHER STATES. SO UNLESS YOU ARE NEEDING TO ENROLL IN OSCAR FOR ANOTHER STATE BESIDES COLORADO, DO NOT CLICK THE BOX FOR QUOTES, DOCTORS OR FORMULARY. AGAIN, PLEASE CONTACT A BLUELYTE HEALTH BROKER TO ASSIST YOU.****

November 1st 2024 open enrollment opens for individuals who need to enroll into a health insurance plan or change their existing current health plan. The plan will either start the beginning of January or February 2025, depending on the date of enrollment. January 15th 2024 will be the last day of enrollment. In order to enroll into a plan after that date, you must have a Qualifying Life Event, as stated above.

Remember, open enrollment has started!!!. If you have experienced any of the following events listed above, you have 60 days from the time the event took place to purchase a plan. Also, if the event you’ve experienced is losing your health insurance coverage (i.e. from an employer or Medicaid) and you know your going to lose it 30 days before it ends, you can enroll into a plan 30 days before your coverage ends and have your health insurance start the first day of the following month. By doing this, you would be able to have continuous coverage (a new plan that starts right after your old plan ends). You also have the option to wait until your coverage has ended, in which you still have 60 days to enroll into the plan of your choice, but you would not have a plan that was continuous (the plan you enroll in would not start as soon as your other coverage ended).

* Remember you’ll need to provide documentation to prove whatever event took place*.

Other QLE’s above may require you to enroll into a plan before the 15th of each month, in order to have your coverage start the first of the following month. If you wait until after the 15th of each month to enroll into a health plan, your plan would not start until the 1st of the month, after the following month.

Whatever your needs, directly enrolling with an insurance carrier in Colorado will give you the peace of mind your looking for. Also, by taking advantage of the open enrollment or enrolling into a plan due to a QLE (right now or in the future), you will be able to have the plan that works for you. Don’t wait!!! Take advantage of your opportunity!!!

When you click the contact button located at the top of the page, you will be taken to our contact page where you will able to leave your name, number (best time to be reached), email address and a brief message for BlueLyte Health in an email, or you can simply enroll into the plan of your choice (UNLESS IT’S CIGNA, RHMP OR OSCAR. CONTACT A BROKER FOR ASSISTANCE) from the Resource page at bluelyteheath.com website. We look forward to working with you.
