Open Sign for Open Enrollment 2021

Important Insurance Newsletter For Existing ACA Clients Nov 1st 2025- Jan 16th 2026

Hello Everyone,

I pray you are all doing well today. I just wanted to reach out to you to let you know that Open Enrollment from (November 1st 2026 to January 15th 2027) is now officially open.

This is the time of year that if you would like to switch your health insurance plan or stay with your insurance carrier, you can. I know that Connect for Health Colorado and your insurance carrier have already sent you all an email/letter letting you know what I’m telling you. When you receive your email/letter from Connect for Health Colorado and your carrier, you definitely want to make sure that you read your email to see if your plan will carry over for next year or be discontinued, in which you will have to choose another plan. You can also use this time to choose another plan, if you do not want the plan you are currently on.

IMPORTANT NEWS:

***Cigna Healthcare is leaving the marketplace for 2027. So my Cigna clients, please reach out to me so I can get you signed up with a different Health Insurance company. ***

In stating that Cigna is leaving, Colorado Access Choice will be the Health Insurance carrier added to the marketplace. Colorado Access Choice is an upcoming individual and family health insurance product launched by Colorado Access, a local nonprofit health plan that has operated in Colorado for more than 30 years.

Target Audience: Designed to help individuals and families transitioning off Health First Colorado (Medicaid) or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), as well as subsidy-eligible and uninsured residents. It helps individuals who have in-network doctors with Medicaid and are transitioning from Medicaid to this carrier, to most likely obtain their same doctors.

***Immigrant Eligibility: Due to CMS rules, only legal permanent residents/green card holders (for Medicaid/CHP+ who have lived in the U.S. for 5yrs and more), Cuban/Haitian Entrants and Citizens of the Marshall Islands, Micronesia and Palau (COFA migrants) are able to purchase a plan from Connect for Health Colorado with  financial help, if they qualify. All other lawfully present immigrants that are ineligible for Medicaid /CHP+ or financial assistance through Connect for Health Colorado can purchase private insurance through them (Connect for Health Colorado) at full price. ***Medicaid is free and low cost health insurance for kids 19 and under, as well as pregnant people if monthly income is within a certain income bracket. It is free for them regardless of documentation status.***

**Immigrants eligible for financial assistance, whether lawfully present or not (undocumented persons who cannot qualify or are over income for Medicaid/CHP+, or have DACA status), may be eligible for the Omni Salud program. Through the Omni Salud program, they can purchase full price plans or possibly receive financial assistance, if they qualify and they have spots available (spots are limited). Omni Salud 855-675-2626/www.connectforhealthco.com**

**Undocumented Coloradans there are other resources available for you (UndocuHelp.com) to find community services. If you have a life threatening emergency, you may qualify for emergency medicaid (cohealth.co/emedicaid). Also know that hospitals must screen and provide financial assistance and reasonable payment plans for people with monthly income that is limited (cohealth.co/hospitaldiscounts). **

Some of the Health Insurance Carriers will be offering on and off exchange plans through the marketplace. This makes it easier for everybody (especially if you have a blended income family).

Colorado’s Premium Assistance (CPA) program will continue next year for those who qualify. The program was a substitute for the Enhanced Premium Tax Credit (EPTC ) that expired at the end of last year. The CPA program will continue to help Coloradans save money on their premiums for 2027 and is a gift. It is not to be reported on taxes. You will never have to pay this gift back.

*** Usually the deadlines concerning the time between Nov 1st-November 30th, have been the way Connect for Health has always operated every year concerning giving individuals time to review and or enroll into another plan, if they’d like, before their plan is auto renewed for jan 1st 2027 . But this year, plans that are renewable will automatically be renewed as of November 1st. Connect for Health Colorado is also still using the deadline from Nov 1st 2026 – December 15th 2026 to have a policy effective January 1st 2027, as well as the other deadline December 16th 2026 – January 15th 2027 to have an effective date of February 1st 2027. But I would advise all of you that have a current plan with Connect for Health Colorado to review and or enroll into a new one before December 15th 2026 to avoid incurring a lapse in coverage. So in saying that, I’m here to set up appointments as soon as possible.***

Let’s connect before the deadlines I mentioned above and below below. This will possibly ensure a smooth transition into a new Health Insurance year.

Again, If you are switching your plan, you have from November 1st to December 15th to choose another plan, in order to have a January 1st 2027 effective date. Once December 16th- January 15th comes around, you will have a lapse in coverage with an effective date of February 1st 2027. Also, any plan you’re on now will most likely auto renew for next year January 1st 2027 by Connect for Health Colorado. Although you may think your plan may auto renew for the next year, you should reach out to me so that I can make sure it will.

***Remember if you enroll into another plan anytime after December 15th through January 15th, your plan start date will be February 1st 2027. In order to avoid a lapse in coverage, you will want to change your plan no later than December 15th 2026.***

Also, as stated above, some of you may have plans that may not continue next year (although the carriers stated there weren’t going to be changes to their plans outside of premium and service prices increasing). Cigna, as stated above, is leaving the marketplace. So your insurance carriers should have sent you a notice to let you know what to expect and do. In the letter sent to you it will have a suggested plan that the carrier believes is similar to the plan you had. If your plan is through Connect for Health Colorado, they will also send out a letter informing you of the suggested new plan, as well as have the suggested plan in your Connect for Health portal/website. In order to take advantage of the suggested plan through Connect for Health Colorado, you need to contact me or login into your Connect for Health account and select your selection before December 15th 2026. These instructions concerning suggested plans do not apply to Cigna clients. You have to call me so we can select a new carrier and plan.

Although your plan may auto renew, you should reach out to me if you will have a change in projected income for next year (this is for individuals who have a tax credit through Connect for Health Colorado), need to make sure your doctor will still be in network with your plan next year, as well as prescriptions that you need covered.

Again, you should have received an email/letter from Connect for Health Colorado, as well as your carrier that has informed you of the changes that may need to occur with your account, as well as how you go about making the changes. Make sure you look/read that email/letter.

If I don’t hear from you at all, then most likely your plan will continue for next year, unless they are Cigna plans!! Again to make sure your plan will continue, just reach out to me.

***ATTENTION: If you have recently enrolled into a health plan during the month of September or October of 2026, please reach out to me so we can set an appointment to evaluate if you’d like to stay with the same plan you are currently on. Your plan will have to be pushed through for 2027, or you can find another plan because your plan will not automatically renew for next year. It has to do with how late you enrolled in your current plan for this year 2026. Connect for Health Colorado may not have gotten you in their system in time for the auto renewal campaign. So let’s make an appointment to speak before December 15th 2026.

Please reach out to me starting the first week of November, so I can schedule a time to assist you in making sure you have the right plan with continuous coverage. The best days to reach me are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (9:00am – 5:30pm) Thursday (9:30am-12pm) and some Saturdays (11:00am-4pm). If you have to reach me outside of those days or hours, you can call and leave a message (720-975-5513), email (bluelytehealth@gmail.com) or go to my website www.bluelytehealth.com and at the top of the home page click on the word Contact, in which you will be directed to the contact page, where you can fill out a short form ex: name, number, email (optional) and reason for receiving a call back. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

P.S. If any of you have a tax credit, I want to make sure I get your projected income for 2027. When I get your projected gross income, I will make sure to update your information in order for your – Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC) to be correct for next year. Lastly, if you are going to be aging into Medicare soon, please reach out to me so I can help you with this transition.

If I have already spoken with you, please disregard this email.

I’m honored to be your Broker and I look forward to serving you
