I pray you are all doing well today. I just wanted to reach out to you to let you know that Open Enrollment starts next week (November 1st to January 15th 2025).
This is the time of year that if you would like to switch your health insurance plan or stay with your insurance carrier, you can. I know that Connect for Health Colorado may have already sent you an email letting you know what I’m telling you, but you definitely want to make sure that your plan will carry over for next year or that you use this time to choose another plan, if you do not want the plan you are currently on.
***Currently, Connect for Health Colorado Does not have the premiums for next year available just yet. Their website is down in order to load the plans. So the soonest I can see and go over plans with you all would be starting November 1st.***
You can however call me in advance to set up appointment times for us to speak.
If you are switching your plan, you have from November 1st to November 30th to choose another plan. Once December 1st comes around, any plan you’re on now will most likely auto renew for next year January 1st 2025 by Connect for Health Colorado. Although you may think your plan may auto renew for the next year, you should reach out to me so that I can make sure it will.
If I don’t hear from you until after December 1st, you still will have a chance to change your plan until December 15th ( if at all possible, try to schedule an appointment with me before Connect for Health Colorado auto renews the plans December 1st. The process for plan enrollment is a bit more complicated after December 1st) .The December 15th deadline will ensure your insurance plan start date will be January 1st 2025 (meaning you’ll have continuous coverage with no break in plan).
If you enroll into another plan anytime after December 15th through January 15th, your plan start date will be February 1st 2025.
In order to avoid a lapse in coverage, you will want to change your plan no later than December 15th 2024.
Also, some of you may have plans that may not continue next year, due to the carrier discontinuing that plan. So your insurance carriers will be sending you a notice to let you know if that is the case. In the letter sent to you it will have a suggested plan that the carrier believes is similar to the plan you had. If your plan is through Connect for Health Colorado, they will also send out a letter informing you of the suggested new plan, as well as have the suggested plan in your Connect for Health portal/website. In order to take advantage of the suggested plan through Connect for Health Colorado, you need to contact me or login into your Connect for Health account and select your selection before December 1st 2024. After December 1st 2024, the suggested plan goes away through Connect for Health Colorado and you will have to decide which plan you would like to continue with.
Although your plan may auto renew, you should reach out to me if you will have a change in projected income for next year (this is for individuals who have a tax credit through Connect for Health Colorado), need to make sure your doctor will still be in network with your plan next year, as well as prescriptions that you need covered.
Again, you should have already received an email from Connect for Health Colorado that has informed you of the changes that may need to occur with your account, as well as how you go about making the changes. Make sure you look for that email.
If I don’t hear from you at all, then most likely your plan will continue for next year, but again to make sure your plan will continue just reach out to me.
ATTENTION: If you have recently enrolled into a health plan during the month of September or October of 2024, please reach out to me so we can set an appointment to evaluate if you’d like to stay with the same plan you are currently on. Your plan will have to be pushed through for 2025, or you can find another plan because your plan will not automatically renew for next year. It has to do with how late you enrolled in your current plan for this year 2024. Connect for Health Colorado may not have gotten you in their system in time for the auto renewal campaign. So let’s make an appointment to speak before December 1st or December 15th 2024.
Please reach out to me starting next week Tuesday, November 7th, so I can schedule a time to assist you in making sure you have the right plan with continuous coverage. The best days to reach me are Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays (10:00am-5:30pm) and some Saturdays (11:00am-4pm). If you have to reach me outside of those days or hours, you can call and leave a message (720-975-5513), email (bluelytehealth@gmail.com) or go to the contact page on this website and fill it out. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
P.S. If any of you have a tax credit, I will make sure to update (if needed) your projected gross income for next year so that your information – Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC) is correct for next year.
